MPW in partnership with Sunrise Events Vietnam, once again, is hugely excited to bring you the 9th edition of Mass Participation World Conference with over 30 international speakers in vibrant Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – a country where the mass participation industry is booming.

Theme

This year we have chosen the theme of “Climbing the Next Mountain: For Those Who Dare”

In a time where mass participation is booming in most parts of the world, we are excited to invite the industry to dare to think differently to explore new ways of harnessing the boom to ensure a sustainable industry in the future.

The analogy of the mountain and the image of Everest has been chosen for a number of reasons:

Reaching the summit of Everest does not happen overnight – it takes years of training, experience and critically collaboration.

Everest stands tall but is at the centre of a huge range of mountains – without their “support” it does not exist.

Not everyone can or has to exist in the rare air of Everest’s summit – are you clear on the summit you are aiming for?

What will we Explore?

Some of the things we will explore include:

Success Beyond Success – moving beyond the fixation on “operational success”, which should be a given
Opportunities for greater collaboration between ALL stakeholders – as we say in Asia “grow a bigger rice bowl for everyone”
Future generations – participants, leaders, workforce
Sustainability – looking far beyond environmental
Embracing technology – including solutions to some of the 41 “problem statements” we have received in the GSIC, Powered by Microsoft MPW Innovation Challenge
An immersive Explore Performance simulation of climbing Everest with a multitude of practical and relevant lessons
A World Athletics and World Academy for Endurance Medicine half day Medical Operation Workshop

As usual, you will have the opportunity to hear from and network with high profile speakers from across the globe. The names of experts from within and outside of the industry will be announced progressively in the coming weeks

Meet, network, and connect with a wide variety of delegates from across the globe representing all pillars of running and Mass Participation including event organisers, rights holders, brands/sponsors, government agencies, industry suppliers, marketing/PR agencies, and NPOs.

INNOVATION CHALLENGE PRESENTED BY GSIC

One of the most anticipated parts of the conference, the MPW Innovation Spotlight will reach new heights this year with the addition of the GSIC MPW Innovation Challenge. We received 41 industry problem statements from across the globe and 10 finalists will be invited to share their solutions to delegates and investors on Day 2 of MPW24 .

CONVERSATIONS NOT PRESENTATIONS

Once again the conference will be a presentation-free zone with a range of interactive sessions including workshops, panels and fireside interviews. There will also be an interactive Explore Performance simulation of climbing Mount Everest with a multitude of relevant takeaways.
